LISTING

You write your own item listings and you are free to link to your own personal shop in the listing.

Make sure to put your shop name in the item title, in case people are looking for your items.

We will be changing up the shop sections this month since we will have more people joining us.

For November we have to think of how we want to section the shop, now that we are getting more members in!!! Yayy!!!

1. Should we double up and have 2 shops share a section.
2. Section the shop on types of items
3. Give me a suggestion!

About out shop name in the title, I understand about people searching for your shop in etsy but etsy already appends your shop name for google searches, so I'm not inclined to put it in the listing. Would it be better/as good to have our shop name as a tag?

Either way is fine for what works for you
My shop name is too long for a tag, so I figured this would work better for some of us with reallllly long shop names

I can't think of a way to do the sections other than what you suggested. We should have one for the goody bags and then put two shops on the other sections. The only other way that I can think of is to only have a section for the goody bags and none for the shops, but I don't really like that suggestion.

If we did item sections, what would they be?

Jewelry
Cards and Paper ...something?
Accessories or Hair accessories?
Household Items?

Yikes! Difficult to classify things into groups in just 9 (1 for goody bags) sections succinctly and accurately...

I'm fine with dividing up the sections in anyway, by shop or item type.

I was thinking it would be best to make sections with the type of items. But it doesn't really matter to me.

JFYI, the next item I was going to add is a ribbon sculpture, they are not necessarily always hair accessories. I sell them as ornaments, gift toppers, magnets, pins, etc. So if you make an "Accessories" category, it would be good to not be specific to hair, kwim?

I have it listed as Accessories & Hair Goods, I figured that would also encompass the purse charms, cell charms etc.

If we did types, I would need an ART category
BUT I am happy pairing up with someone, too. I have no preference really, lol

I'm fine with categories. I suspect we would just need to fine tune them from time to time.

One question with the proposed categories, are my altered photographic art prints art or photo prints.

If we go with categories, I think we should add a short line to the shop announcement to check out the participating shops in the profile.

We could combine art & photo prints in one category, that way it could go either way

That sounds like a good idea to me.

So where are we with our shop sections list so that I can update them and the new shop people can list?

Put them in any order that looks good, this was just the way we tossed the ideas out.

Ok, I have changed the shop sections in anticipation of more shops participating. The and symbol is not allowed so I used and where I could. Accessories and Hair Goods was too long so I used "n" instead of "and". The old workaround to make longer sections seems to have been shut down.

Please edit your items to put them in the appropriate sections.
