new profile page

Has everyone seen the changes that got rolled out to our profile pages last night?

no, I missed it!

It has caused much hubbub and nashing of teeth. Check out the announcement in the admin forum on it and then if you are interested, you can read many forum threads about it. Too many changes right before Christmas IMO.

yeah I saw it. I don't like it. I hated to do it but I made my favorites private and deleted my treasuries . I want my profile page to be about ME and all links to go to MY stuff, not take people away from my shop. I know I get easily distracted and would click on something shiny and new without thinking about it then forget where I started from.

I totally agree with your sentiment Wendy. There are a lot more question marks in people's shop favorites now. I haven't made mine private yet, but I am tempted. I don't have all that many. Also, I've never made treasuries so that isn't a problem.

I can't believe Etsy talks so much about telling your story and then goes and truncates our bio. When you click on read more, you get this small, tunnel like box that you have to scroll through. I dislike it very much.

I also don't like that many of our shop name links go to our profiles now instead of our shop. I added something to the top of my bio that someone shared to make it easier for people to get back into my shop. Feel free to use it if you like it.

I do like having the pics of items in my shop. I wish they would do a collage of my sold items as well instead of my favs, etc.

I'm having a hard time loving Etsy this week . I did make two sales on Artfire

I like the idea of having our sold items on the page!

I wish we had that option. It has been mentioned in some of the threads, who knows if admin will pick up on it.

I did have 3 sales on Etsy this week so all is not bad for me.

Have any of you had any luck with your FB shops that you started?

I did not have any luck with the Payvment shop. I had more headaches than it was worth so I deleted it. With my pro Artfire shop I can add a Kiosk to my FB tabs and people can shop from there without creating an account or anything. Which is why I went pro on AF when they had the $5.95 deal, for the FB Kiosk. Though I don't think I've had any sales directly from it yet. Hoping that once I start promoting it more it will happen.

What kind of problems were you having Wendy?

I sold everything on my page once when it was first launched (my lemon set) but that was it since then.

First issues were because I had an apostrophe in my name. Then I was having trouble with importing, then with shipping, I gave up.
